Dinner at Aaranya - By Anirban Datta 

I would recommend Aaranya's to one and all. Easily accessible, Value for money, food, smoke & drink on the roof top restaurant was great. Service was good. It gets filled early during weekends, so booking a table before going would be a good idea. Even if u get late due to traffic, they are hospitable enough to hold ur table for 15 - 20 minotes.

The food is good though the service is poor and the waiters lack in basic training it seems. To get a glass of water also one needs to wait and give reminders to them. It will spoil your mood and the wait and the service is not worth spending some bucks there.

Excellent food quality, delicious fare - By Ravi 

We have so far ordered twice from Aaaranya and have been equally delighted for both the veg and the non veg fare. Even a simple dish like Veg Fried Rice comes across as a princely dish with fresh paneer bits, cashews and pearl white basmati rice. The chicken biryani did not disappoint us either. All the ingredients that contribute towards the making of a great biryani were present.

Price wise, the restaurant seems a little bit on the higher side. However the quality more thank makes up for that. Do try this excellent restaurant

Very poor service, hyped prices, wrong billing - By HungryMan 

We, a group of around 20 people went there on a weekday evening for dinner (ofcourse, with table booking in advance), and all of us experienced that the service was so pathetic, we should never come back here..

Eventhough, the restaurant was not very crowded (being a monday evening), and a lot of staff standing near the counter... they hardly cared to provide any service to us... even for getting a glass of water someone of us had to go to them and ask them to get some water. Anything ordered took hell lot of time before coming to our table. No synchronization of service... Dal + Rice ordered for serving togather with clear instruction... but dal came before everything else (even before rotis) and rice came at the end...even after asking them for several times... a lot of confusion and chaos created by their own staff... looked like a govt. office, where no one wanted to serve us and every staff member was trying to pass the buck to the other staff member to serve !!!

And icing on the cake.... at the end we received a bill with atleast 4-5 extra items - including some non-veg items and some drinks - where as there was a complete veg. order placed from a our unfotunte group of  pure vegetarian and teetotallers !!!

Someone once said 'The way to a man's heart is through his stomach' and certainly so, if one happened to visit the Aaranya family restaurant. Located off the Ring Road in HSR layout, it is a three-storey restaurant with its special A/c halls for the family (which does not allow smoking and does not serve alcohol), one cannot but mention, the great interiors. What takes the cake though, is the roof-top section of the restaurant. Tiled roofs, wooden furniture, terracotta lamps, along with the cool breeze from the potted plants around make the place more than comfortable and also shields from the huge traffic on the ring road . And guess what? No mosquitoes!!! While the adults will find the place comfortable to sit back and relax, the kids can have fun with horses and cars in the adjacent play area.

The exahustive menu is categorized into vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections and has on offer close to 350 dishes. For starters there are a variety of tikkas, kebabs, rolls and fries that can be had along with a veritable treat of soups.Great rotis, tasty rice and delicious curries that include sea food like prawns and fish make a filling main course.

It also has some unique and unfamiliar dishes to offer like the ragi mudde, ragi roti, akki roti, hagalkayi gojju, palak pachadi or mooli pachadi with curd! For the health conscious there is also the Fruit Chat, Cucumber Salad, Rajma Tomato Salad, Beans Sprout Salad and so much more. The Chinese Salad (that includes fried noodles with vegetables) is clearly the best!

If you are one of those who believes in eating good food at home, then Aaranya also takes party orders and home delivery for you. And the price - definitely, will not burn a hole in your pocket!
